Interviewer: Anna, your work stands out as a fusion of luxury, comfort, and artistic expression. What first inspired you to pursue fashion design?
Anna Flowers: My passion for sewing started when I was just 13. Sitting at a sewing machine for the first time felt like a moment of pure connection. I quickly realized that creating my own clothes allowed me to express myself in ways nothing else could. Over time, that passion evolved, and people began asking if I designed for others. That was the turning point—I knew I wanted to build something much bigger.
Interviewer: You’ve recently taken a bold step by fully committing to your brand. What led to that decision?
Anna Flowers: After 30 years of sewing while raising my family, I reached a point where I felt it was now or never. In 2024, I made the leap and devoted myself entirely to my business. It’s been a whirlwind of networking, designing, and growing my brand. My husband even left his job to take on a full-time role managing the tech and business side of things. It’s a huge investment, but we both believe in this vision wholeheartedly.
Interviewer: Your brand includes three distinct lines—sparkling evening dresses, underground festival wear, and extravagant showpieces. What is the inspiration behind these collections?
Anna Flowers: Each collection reflects a different part of my creative spirit. The evening dresses embody elegance and confidence, perfect for those who want to feel radiant at special events. The festival wear is all about individuality and self-expression—it’s for those who want to stand out in the most artistic way possible. The showpieces, on the other hand, push boundaries; they are wearable art designed to make a statement. My goal is to create designs that empower people and make them feel truly unique.
Interviewer: Despite not yet earning a full-time income from your brand, your momentum is undeniable. How are you navigating this phase of growth?
Anna Flowers: It’s definitely a challenging but exciting time. Right now, it’s all about building—networking, refining my designs, and assembling a team that shares my vision. We’ve invested heavily in manufacturing, product development, and branding, which requires financial risk and patience. But I believe that all the hard work is about to pay off.
Interviewer: Your designs have already made waves on global runways. What has it been like to showcase your work internationally?
Anna Flowers: It’s been an incredible experience. My collections have been featured at London Fashion Week, Portland Fashion Week, and other international showcases. I’ve also had the privilege of being mentored by industry leaders like Edward Nashen and Chairs Michelsen, which has helped me refine my approach and expand my reach. Every milestone reaffirms that I’m on the right path.
Interviewer: Beyond fashion, you have a strong commitment to the arts. How does that influence your work?
Anna Flowers: Art is the foundation of everything I do. In a world that’s increasingly dominated by technology, I believe it’s crucial to preserve artistic expression. I actively support local music and arts communities, and I see my brand as a platform that can uplift and support other creatives. Fashion is more than just clothing—it’s an art form that deserves to be celebrated and protected.
Interviewer: You’ve focused a lot on empowering women through your designs. Can you tell us more about your plans for expanding into menswear?
Anna Flowers: Absolutely! While my current collections emphasise femininity, I want my designs to be inclusive. I’m working on a menswear collection that will embody the same artistic and bold elements as my other pieces. Fashion should be empowering for everyone, regardless of gender, and that’s what I aim to achieve with my future collections.
Interviewer: With your growing success, what’s next for Anna Flowers?
Anna Flowers: The future is incredibly exciting! I plan to continue pushing creative boundaries, expanding my collections, and bringing more people into my vision. My goal is to create timeless pieces that people will cherish for years to come. Whether it’s a red carpet event or an underground festival, I want my designs to inspire confidence and self-expression everywhere they go.
Interviewer: Thank you, Anna, for sharing your journey with us. We can’t wait to see what’s next!
Anna Flowers: Thank you! I appreciate the opportunity to share my passion. The best is yet to come!
