Breaking Barriers: How Paul Lamar Hunter Transformed Struggle into Success

Interviewer: Paul, you’ve recently started Paul Lamar Hunter LLC. Can you tell us more about this new venture?

Paul Lamar Hunter: Yes, I’m very excited about it. Paul Lamar Hunter LLC is focused on creating opportunities in a variety of areas—podcast entertainment, real estate, rental and leasing, sports and athletic entertainment, selling goods and services, consulting on books, and even providing resources for families going through child support and family court issues. It’s a big step forward for me, and it reflects both my business background and my passion for helping others.

Interviewer: That’s a wide range of activities. I understand this also involves your family?

Paul: Absolutely. My granddaughter, Khloe Grace Martin, will be my co-host on the podcast side of the business. Having her join me is very special—it’s about family, legacy, and showing younger generations what’s possible when you dream big and work hard.

Interviewer: Let’s go back to your early years. You were born in Racine, Wisconsin as the 19th of 21 children. What was that experience like?

Paul: Growing up was extremely difficult. We lived in poverty and experienced a lot of neglect. After losing my father and one of my brothers, my mother focused her energy on a homeless shelter she founded. It was designed to help the community, and it stayed active for 45 years.

Interviewer: Yet you managed to rise above those challenges. What gave you the strength to push forward?

Paul: My faith and determination. I believed my life could be different, and I held onto that belief. Earning my degree in business administration from Upper Iowa University was a turning point. It gave me the confidence and foundation to move forward.

Interviewer: You’ve shared your journey in your autobiography, No Love, No Charity: The Success of the 19th Child. What message were you hoping to send with the book?

Paul: I wanted to show that your beginnings don’t determine your end. The book tells the truth about my struggles, but it also highlights the victories. My message is that with faith, fortitude, and perseverance, anyone can overcome the odds stacked against them.

Interviewer: Your story has gained a lot of national attention. Where has your work been featured?

Paul: I’ve been fortunate to appear in US Reporter, NY Weekly, LA Wire, CEO Weekly, Ebony magazine, Black Enterprise magazine, SA Express News, and Radar Online. I’ve also been on shows like Face The Truth, Living 808, Good Things Utah, The Morning Blend, Travis Smiley, Tom Joyner, and Fox and Friends. Each platform has given me the chance to inspire others.

Interviewer: Beyond the book and your LLC, I understand your story is heading to Hollywood?

Paul: Yes! By the way, look for the Hunter Family life story to hit the big screens in 2028 or 2029. I’m proud to be serving as an executive producer on the project. This film will bring my family’s story of struggle, survival, and resilience to a much wider audience.

Interviewer: Now with your LLC and podcast, what do you hope people will take away from your new work?

Paul: That your past does not define you. My goal is to inspire people to rise above adversity and believe in themselves. With Khloe as my co-host, we’ll be bringing fresh conversations and perspectives to the podcast—blending experience with youth and showing that legacy is something we build together.

Interviewer: For those who want to reach out, what’s the best way to connect?

Paul: They can contact me at Paul@paullamarhunter.com or visit www.paullamarhunter.com. My book is available through Barnes & Noble, Amazon, and iTunes. And I’d encourage everyone to stay tuned for the podcast launch under Paul Lamar Hunter LLC. It’s going to be something very meaningful, and I’m thrilled to share it with my granddaughter Khloe. If you want to donate, click the CashApp link.
